Last weekend saw two under 18 deciders being played with Paola Hibs and Flyers registering victories against Playvolley and Fleur-de-Lys respectively. In the ladies senior league, Paola Hibs Candy beat Kerygma 3-0, whilst in the men's league Kerygma, Aloysians Lipton and Fleur-de-Lys won against Aloysians Red, Aloysians White and Marsascala all in 3 straight sets.

In the under 18 league, two deciders were played to determine the first four places as Flyers and Fleur-de-Lys both finished in first place with 26 points while Playvolley and Paola occupied third position with 18 points. In the first decider, Paola Hibs won against Playvolley 2-1 while in the first and second spot decider, Flyers beat Fleur-de-Lys 2-0. Next week, Paola Hibs meet X-Sel and Playvolley face Kerygma in the first two quarter final matches. The winners of these games will meet Fleur-de-Lys and Flyers in the semi finals of the play-offs.
In the men's league Kerygma beat Aloysians Reds by 3 sets to 0. Although all sets ended being very close, Kerygma were always in control and never seemed to be at risk of losing any sets. Aloysians Red did a good job in defending during the second set but unfortunately most of their players did not give their usual performance and the team suffered especially when attacking.
Aloysians had to rely on tips and soft spikes and this caused minimal trouble to the stronger Kerygma side. Kerygma's best player on court was Chris Tanti who was always ready to gain the necessary points whenever Aloysians crept close.
In the ladies league, Paola Hibs Candy easily beat Kerygma by 3 sets to 0. It was Hibs that immediately put pressure on the Kerygma side by playing very well and making good use of each ball; Kerygma on the other hand could not react to the strong Hibs attacks. The first and second set scores were close but the champions must be praised for the excellent second when they beat their opponents 25-8 never giving Kerygma the opportunity to get back into the game. Kerygma's response was all in vain as the Paolites took the three points' home. Next Sunday we see Playvolley Blue play against X-Sel in a match that would determine which team ends this leg in second place.
In the under 15 section, Flyers A beat Kerygma 2-1, X-Sel won against Flyers B 2-0, Playvolley beat Paola Blacks 2-0 and Marsascala beat Fleur de Lys 2-1.
