The Malta Volleyball Association was honoured with the presence of CEV officials for three days between Friday 24th and Sunday 26th May, for the CEV School Project Workshop. We welcomed Mr Vuk Karanovic (Head of Development) and Mr Remko Kenter who led three workshop sessions. They addressed the participants together with Mr Branko Vlahovic, MVA vice-president, and Mr Charles Gauci, School Project Manager for Malta.
The attendance throughout the three days was very encouraging and all sessions were very interesting and fruitful for all participants. On Friday, 60 Physical Education teachers in Primary and Secondary schools and club coaches had a presentation by Mr Kenter, followed by a practical session during which 12 girls had a training session focusing on activities suitable for children aged 6-12 years. This session was held at the Cottonera Sports Complex.
This session was followed by two beach volley sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Golden Bay. During these sessions, coaches and beach volley lovers were introduced to activities focusing on both young children and adults.
At the side of these practical sessions, talks between the CEV officials, MVA and SportMalta were held to enhance collaboration between all parts for the future. MVA would like to thank CEV for this opportunity, and all stakeholders for their participation and support.
